blogs in english classroom

I think in general blogs are good for your english development, but you must add other activities. In my case, the combination of English discoveries and the blog, helped me in a integral way, because with english discoveries you learn with reading, listening and choosing different options to fill out spaces on phrases and in that way you can learn grammar and spelling, but when you are writing you learn different ways of expressing and you have to manage and create ways of expressing yourself. From my point of view, with blogs you put on practice what you have learned with English discoveries and classes.
It is very important for each person to develope a good level of writing because its ussually needed, and having a blog as a part of an English course helps you develope this skills.
Other advantage is that if the time of class is not enough for you to finish some activities in the blog you can always do it from you house.
The only disadvantage I can think of, is that with blogs you have to have acces to internet and with that you have more posibilities to tempt yourself of doing other things and like you can do the activities in your house maybe you live a side the blog activities some times. But, in general I think that it´s a very good idea to backup an English course.

film review

Last Tuesday I went to the national film festival because you could entered to see any national movie for 1000 pesos, so my friends and I organized to go together. We wanted to see "la vida me mata" but when we arrived the tickets for that movie were sold out , so we had to choose other movie and we saw "en la cama".I think the movie was ok, it was a simple film. It was about two lovers that were in a motel and all the scenes were done in the room of the motel. In the film you star knowing the story of this two characters, their personal problems, fears, joys and future plans. On the other side, you see also how this night for different situations can change their lives because they start to really like and trust each other but in the end it was only an axceptional night for both, that they will never forget.
It was a regular film that does not have intense feelings or scenes but I recommend it for when you are in a neutral mood, its agreeable to see.

natalia`s blogspot

I choose Natalia´s blogspot, because, while I was reading it, her stories and comments made me laugh. I personally liked the story about her living in Texas, it was very descriptive, and because of that I could imagine the places she was talking about. I think that when you achieve that, you are telling a good story in a correct way.
What I also liked a lot was the type of writing, although it was not 100% correct, it was very easy to read and understand and also entertaining.
A post that made me laugh was the one that said that google was her favourite website, she is so right about that, google nowadays is everything, you can find anything you need.
Natalia aldo talked about in her blog about SCA that is a comedy program and I also like it a lot, so it was interesting to find out that we like and enjoy the same style of TV shows.
Finally, I agree totally on what she said about sociology because sometimes I fell the same with Psychology.
These things made me choose her blogspot, I think that is funny and also interesting, and is the onlyone that caught my atention of all of my classmates. Check it out!

number 23

About a week ago I saw a movie called The numer 23 and I liked it very much. This movie is about a man (Jim Carrey) that lives a normal life, he has a wife, a job and and a son. Everything starts when he gets the message through the radio informing he that a dog is on a chinesse restaurant making problems (he is a dog policemna), so he has to go and trap this dog. Because of this he arrives late to a date with his wife, and while his wife was waiting him in a store she saw a red book called number 23, and she decides to buy it for his husband. His husband does not like to read but with this book he becames obsessed, he thinks that the guy that wrote the book knows his life and wrote about him and he becames to believe evertything that the book said of the number 23, and he starts with the paranoia that this number is on everything, and then this number starts to control his life. He begins to have nightmares where he kills his wife, the same as the author of the book, and his life starts to move around the topics that the book presents and in the end the movie has an incredible turn. I cant tell that because is the best part of the movie, so if you want to know the end you have to see it!
I strongly recomend it!

summary of monday´s presentation

My presentation will be about some therapies that are used by psychologysts that are not very well known like for example Psychodrama, Play therapy and Sandtray or also called sand therapy. The first one, psychodrama tries to solve the problems of each person by acting different situations in group and that allows you to improve your social skills and learn new ways to handel situations. The second one, althought it is mostly used for children, also are applied to adults. This therapy is based on the fact that children communicate better by playing, because they cant communicate very well with words, so this therapy tries to see on what process is the boy or girl by seeing how they play. The last therapy (sandtray) it is like play therapy becausse this therapy is focused on seeing the people play in a sand box with miniatures dolls and objects and based on that, they see how the person is.

papayacta

Papayacta its a place near Quito that is in Ecuador. Its up in the mountains were you have an incredible landscape with a lot of trees and animals. Papayacta besides having this landscape has thermal waters that are distributed in all the mountain.You have cold, hot , small and big pools made of rocks with this natural water. You can stay there in beautiful cabins that are made of wood and they have a lot of nice details, like the chimneys. Also, the people who goes to clean the cabins leave chocolates and candies.
I likethis place because its very natural and you can swin in the pools at the hour you want and for the time you want. If you dont want to swim you can go to take a walk on the forest and also take a massage or do a therapy for easing.
On the night you can make barbecue outside the cabins and share a nice wine with all your friends.
Sometimes its raining and then is when is so nice to be on the pools becausse the are so warm and outside the water, its very cold.
I hope I could return someday becausse its very relaxing.

Hi everyone, The assignment that the techer gave us its about telling what i our favourite web site, like I dont have one I have to explain why is this. I dont like too much the Internet or all the things related to technology , I enjoy more natural things, so this is one of the reasons I dont have a favourite website, I dont think that its a good way of spending my time, I dont enjoy it, and I dont know what to do or where to find interesting things, I see how people can spend two hours chatting on msn or navegating on the web but I really dont see the fun on it, so I preffer doing other things like see movies, reading or cooking. Well I hope my reasons are clear, its more like a thing of tastes I think.

Parapsychology's contribution to psychology

Parapsychology has been since its beginnings, linked to the idea of intangibles manifestations, as well as the psychological studies of the subconscious have done in the past; this is why both studies have remained themselves related in the scientific matter, and after the dead of Bob Morris president of the Parapsychology Association in 2004, it has maintain the same.
Born in 1879 and derived from experimental psychology, parapsychology began as part of the research associated to non-physical phenomenon, in which its representatives defend to be of great importance to the analysis of the mind. Many studies and topics have reinforced the idea that links these concepts together, like hypnosis and hallucinations; the work of Alvarado also deals with the idea of unconsciousness and spiritism.
The importance of both studies in the analysis of anomalous experiences are undeniable to the scientific area.

Humanism

Humanism is one of the theories in psychology, they talk about human beings like instinctly good people, who have all the tools to selfaccomplish them selves. I am interested in this theory because it is very different from the ones that I have seen, the negative part is that in this university they dont teach it too much so I expect to know about this in the future and to know why they think like this and how they learn or help to this selfaccomplishment because for them is something that all the people should aspire to do. What I did last weekend

Well last weekend I took advantage of the time that I had to rest a lot, go out, see movies and cook and also sleep a lot. I also celebrated my aniversary with my boyfriend because on the 16th of may we turned 3 years together, so we spent most of the time together. We went to the movies to see "la ciencia del sueño" a very good film it was marvelous, I loved the theme, the actors , the story everything absolutely one of my favourites movies. And on monday I went to my house to see my mother because she arrived that day from la serena because she went there for the holiday. There I talk to her about here trip and we have a really good time.

Well i dont have much time to think on my interests because the 80% of the time I spend it studing, so I do normal things like see movies, of all tipes for exception of horror movies, i hate them beacuse afterwards i cant sleep. I also listen music, not very often but i really enjoy it when i do it. I will love to travel when this year ends, i am very tired in the city and it is veru consuming, the lack of energy is on everyone.
I also like to go to my friends house and go out to bars or pubs because i havent known a club that i really like.
I liked to read a lot but my career has changed that because i have to read every single day and now i have to go so i will write again some other time.
